What is YHS?
YHS acts towards improving professional opportunities for young talent in hospitality by fostering a dialogue on employment between Hospitality Companies, Educational Institutions and the Young in Hospitality, ultimately developing actionable proposals, aligning its three main stakeholders regarding their mutual expectations, capacities and aspirations.
YHS is an association that arose from the successful launch of the Young Hoteliers Summit at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne in 2010. This Summit was the first entirely student run hospitality Summit bringing together students from leading hotel management schools around the world.

While creating a platform of dialogue, knowledge and idea exchange, networking opportunities and a friendly competition, the Young Hoteliers Summit has attracted over 15 different schools from around the globe over the past years. In order to expand on the value created during the Summit, additional features were added and the YHS association was founded, embracing the different activities under the same vision and values. YHS is a nonprofit association allowing for continuous development, growth and sustainability, strengthening its values and the cause YHS stands for.
It is thanks to the creative and innovative environment at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne that the YHS association could be brought to life, offering room for new initiatives and ongoing support. YHS will continue its ongoing partnership with this leading institution in hospitality.
